Our team with over 100 years in banking and entertainment finance created The Program In Film Finance to address the underserved in film finance education.
We have collectively worked on over 200 films and many more television production financings. We have been guest speakers on many film finance panels, interviews, and public speaking engagements. We have taught film finance to financial professions as well as filmmakers and investors alike. We have created the industry’s first suite of project analytical tools called FILMPro Analytics. That coupled with our online Project Pitch Platform called Pitch2Me, we bring an industry leading comprehensive end-to-end solution to the film finance industry. RMC + FILMPRO Analytics + Pitch2Me combines Knowledge, Financial Analysis and Funding.
There is a critical need and demand for film Finance education. Of the 118 film schools in the nation, very few if any, offer courses in film finance. This is mainly due to the lack of industry and academic finance professionals with the requisite experience to provide current, relevant and practical knowledge to meet this need. Currently, most prospective filmmakers and those associated with arts and entertainment are ill prepared to advance their career objectives beyond completion of technical courses. Unfortunately, this renders most filmmakers needing to rely on the often times disastrous outcomes of their post academic real-life experience to become aware of the cost of this lack of knowledge. The Reel Money Courses seeks to address this demand and the vacuum of knowledge by enlightening and educating the enrolled student population on the process of film finance, with emphasis on entrepreneurship. This will help facilitate ownership and/or participation in the upside of their creative contribution.
